Denmark’s Jeff Winther secured the Danish Golf Championship title on Sunday, 16 August, while UAE player Adrian Otaegui strengthened his bid to become the first local representative to qualify for the DP World Tour season-ending Play-Offs. Winther finished the tournament at the Great Northern course on 15 under par after carding a final-round 67. The victory, his first since the 2021 Mallorca Golf Open, earned him 585 Race to Dubai points. According to the updated rankings released on Monday, 17 August, Winther climbed to 31st place with a season total of 910 points. Play-Off qualification race intensifies Adrian Otaegui finished the tournament on five under par, maintaining 38th place in the Race to Dubai Rankings with 848 points. Otaegui is attempting to secure a position in the top 70 to qualify for the Abu Dhabi Championship at Yas Links, scheduled for 5 to 8 November 2026. The qualifying threshold then tightens to the top 50 players for the season finale at Jumeirah Golf Estates from 12 to 15 November 2026. The leaderboard in Denmark saw a five-way tie for second place at 12 under par, involving Rasmus Højgaard, Filippo Celli, Matthew Jordan, Oliver Lindell, and Yanhan Zhou.
