Oman recalls Zwilling electric kettles over severe burn risk to consumers

Oman’s Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) issued an urgent recall for the Zwilling Enfinigy electric kettle on Sunday, 2 August, citing a severe risk of burns and physical injury to users. The regulator has ordered an immediate halt to the use of the specific kitchen appliance across the Sultanate. Defective lid mechanism identified The CPA identified a technical defect in the kettle’s lid, which can unexpectedly open while the water is boiling or during pouring. This failure allows steam or boiling water to escape, posing a direct threat of thermal burns. The recall affects the Zwilling Enfinigy model, a popular high-end appliance manufactured by the German brand Zwilling J.A. Henckels.
