Omani police arrested a citizen on Saturday, 22 August, following a shooting in the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate that left one person dead and two others seriously wounded. The incident occurred in the Al Haimah area of Ibra, according to a statement from the Royal Oman Police. Dispute leads to gunfire Initial investigations by the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate Police Command indicate the violence stemmed from a pre-existing dispute between the suspect and the three victims, all of whom are Omani nationals. The suspect allegedly opened fire on the group, causing fatal injuries to one man and leaving the remaining two in critical condition. The Royal Oman Police confirmed the arrest of the suspect shortly after the incident was reported. The authorities stated that the injured survivors have been transported for emergency medical treatment, though their current status beyond the initial reports of serious injury has not been disclosed.
