Sharjah Ruler forms Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work Board

His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi appoints Mariam Majid Al Shamsi to lead the award's board for a three-year term.

His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, issued an administrative decision on Wednesday, 19 August, to form the new Board of Trustees for the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work. Board Leadership and Membership The newly formed board is chaired by Mariam Majid Al Shamsi. Fatima Mousa Abdulrahman Al Blooshi will serve as the Secretary-General of the award. The membership includes six other officials: Dr Musabah Saeed Belajid Al Ketbi, Dr Saeed Sultan bin Dalmook, Humaid Ali Al Abbar Al Shamsi, Sultan Mohammed Abdullah Al Khayal, Ahmed Khalfan Al Fandi Al Shamsi, and Maryam Saeed Obaid Al Muhairi. The decision mandates that the board will allocate specific administrative positions among its members during its inaugural meeting. To facilitate its operations, the board is authorised to establish specialized committees or working groups, which may include external experts alongside board members as required. Terms of Appointment The term of membership for the board is fixed at three years, starting from Wednesday, 19 August. This term is renewable for one or more similar periods. The administrative order ensures continuity of operations by stipulating that the outgoing board will remain in office until a new board is formally constituted, even after the three-year term expires.
