A technical discrepancy in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2024 admit cards assigned an Indian candidate to an examination center in Abu Dhabi, UAE, despite the student selecting a local venue. The National Testing Agency (NTA) was forced to issue a revised document after the error sparked concerns over travel logistics and costs. Technical Glitch Relocates Candidate The candidate, a resident of Kerala, discovered the error upon downloading the mandatory admit card required for entry into the medical entrance examination. Instead of a center in his home state, the system generated a hall ticket directing him to a facility in the UAE capital. The student’s father, Pradeep, flagged the issue publicly, noting the impossibility of securing international flights and visas within the days remaining before the test. The NTA provides examination centers in several international cities, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah, to accommodate Non-Resident Indian (NRI) students.
