The Kerala State IT Mission (KSITM) has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Inductus to establish Global Capability Centres (GCCs) across the state. The agreement aims to position Kerala as a primary destination for multinational firms, directly competing with established Indian technology hubs such as Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Pune. Strategic Expansion into GCC Market Under the terms of the agreement, Inductus will facilitate the entry of global corporations looking to set up captive centers for IT, engineering, and financial services in Kerala. The state government intends to leverage its existing infrastructure, including Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram, Infopark in Kochi, and Cyberpark in Kozhikode, to house these new operations. India currently hosts over 1,500 GCCs, which contribute significantly to the country’s service exports and employment.
