Phantom Studios has initiated a legal battle seeking Rs 2.5 billion ($30 million) in damages against the producers of Queen 2, alleging that the sequel to the 2014 hit film is an unauthorized production. The legal notice, directed at filmmaker Vikas Bahl and associated entities, claims a breach of intellectual property rights over the franchise. Copyright Ownership Dispute The dispute centers on the ownership of the original film’s intellectual property. Queen, which won two National Film Awards, was originally produced by the now-restructured Phantom Films.
