Joby Air Taxi Goes on Public Display at Dubai Museum of the Future

Dubai residents can now view the Joby S4 air taxi at the Museum of the Future ahead of its 2026 commercial launch.

Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA) and Joby Aviation have placed the S4 air taxi on public display at the Museum of the Future. The exhibition allows the public to view the electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft that is scheduled to begin commercial operations in Dubai by early 2026. Technical Specifications and Performance The Joby S4 displayed is designed to carry a pilot and four passengers at speeds reaching 320 kilometres per hour. The all-electric aircraft produces zero operating emissions and is engineered to be significantly quieter than traditional helicopters. According to the RTA, the air taxi will reduce travel time between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Palm Jumeirah from 45 minutes by car to approximately 10 minutes by air. Infrastructure and Launch Timeline The display at the Museum of the Future follows a definitive agreement signed earlier this year between the RTA, Joby Aviation, and Skyports Infrastructure. The partnership grants Joby exclusive rights to operate air taxis in Dubai for six years.
