Jazz Pharmaceuticals presented late-breaking data at the SLEEP 2026 annual meeting, detailing the real-world efficacy of Xywav. The clinical presentations focused on the drug’s impact on patients diagnosed with narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnia (IH), focusing on long-term safety and patient outcomes. Clinical Efficacy and Sodium Reduction Xywav, a formulation of calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium oxybates, is the only low-sodium oxybate approved for these sleep disorders. The data presented at the conference emphasized the importance of reducing sodium intake for patients, as narcolepsy is frequently associated with an increased risk of hypertension and cardiovascular disease.
