Italian authorities have seized assets valued at approximately €220 million ($232 million) linked to the estate and associates of the late Sicilian mafia boss Matteo Messina Denaro. The operation, led by the Guardia di Finanza (financial police), targets the financial infrastructure that sustained the Cosa Nostra leader during his three decades as a fugitive. The seizure includes a vast portfolio of commercial entities, luxury real estate, and liquid financial holdings spread across Sicily.
