Iran Parliament Speaker Warns Israel of Retaliation Following Lebanon Attacks

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, warned Israel on Thursday that it would face a "decisive response" following a series of sophisticated attacks in Lebanon that killed dozens and left thousands wounded. The statement marks a significant escalation in rhetoric from Tehran as regional tensions reach a critical threshold. Retaliation for electronic device blasts Addressing the Iranian parliament, Ghalibaf described the recent wave of explosions—which targeted pagers and handheld radios used by Hezbollah members—as a "terrorist act." He stated that the "Axis of Resistance" would provide a crushing response to the operations. While Israel has not officially claimed responsibility for the device detonations, the Lebanese government and Hezbollah have both attributed the attack to Israeli intelligence services.
