Indoor cycle series to hit Sharjah and Dubai malls following Fujairah success

International cyclists from Türkiye and Britain led the field as the Fujairah Indoor MTB ITT concluded with 120 participants.

The UAE Sports for All Federation concluded the Fujairah Indoor Mountain Bike Individual Time Trial (MTB ITT) on Monday, 24 August, drawing 120 competitors to a specialized 3-kilometre course at Fujairah Mall. The event featured international cyclists and dedicated categories for UAE nationals and People of Determination. International and Local Winners In the men’s open category, Agit Salman of Türkiye secured the first-place finish, followed by Spain’s Álvaro Galindo in second and Russia’s Ruslan Lazovsky in third. The women’s open division was led by Britain’s Vicky Walshaw, with Russia’s Kristina Zabolotko and Iran’s Atefeh Karimi completing the podium. The Emirati-specific categories saw Mohammed Al Ghafri take the men’s title, ahead of Abdulaziz Al Serkal and Butti Al Mheiri. In the women’s Emirati division, Maryam Al Ali claimed first place, followed by Meera Al Falasi and Kaltham Al Mazmi. Bader Al Hammadi won the title in the People of Determination category, highlighting the event's inclusive format. Expansion to Sharjah and Dubai The race was organized in collaboration with the Fujairah Adventures Centre and Endurance Sports Services. The timing of the event follows a strategic push by the UAE Sports for All Federation to move competitive cycling into indoor, climate-controlled environments during the summer months to ensure year-round athletic activity.
