Kish Kanichai plans to split the Dh30 million prize with nine colleagues before retiring to Kerala after 21 years in Dubai.

The winner of the Dh30 million Big Ticket Abu Dhabi draw, identified as 45-year-old Kish Kanichai, has announced he will resign from his position at a Dubai-based catering company to return to his home state of Kerala, India. Kanichai, who has worked in the UAE for 21 years, secured the Grand Prize in Series 265 held on August 3. Allocation of winnings Kanichai purchased the winning ticket online on July 28 after years of participation. While the Dh30 million prize is the largest in Big Ticket history for a single winner, Kanichai revealed the jackpot will be split equally among 10 individuals who contributed to the purchase. Each member of the group, which includes friends and colleagues, will receive Dh3 million. The winner told reporters he plans to use his share to clear outstanding debts, fund his children’s education, and support charitable initiatives in his local community in India. He currently earns approximately Dh11,000 per month and stated that the windfall allows him to retire early and rejoin his family after more than two decades of overseas labor.
