Indian Embassy UAE Suspends Consular Appointments for Five Days

Regular consular services in Abu Dhabi and Dubai will pause from January 22 to 26 for Republic Day celebrations.

The Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai will suspend regular consular appointments for five days starting Wednesday, January 22. The temporary suspension affects all routine passport and visa services across the UAE missions. Republic Day Schedule The pause in regular services coincides with India’s 76th Republic Day celebrations. According to official notification, the suspension will remain in effect through Sunday, January 26. Regular consular operations and appointment slots are scheduled to resume on Monday, January 27, 2025. Emergency Services and PBSK While routine appointments are paused, the diplomatic missions will maintain emergency protocols. Critical services, including the registration of deaths and the issuance of emergency certificates for urgent travel, will continue to be processed. The Pravasi Bhartiya Sahayata Kendra (PBSK) will remain operational to assist Indian nationals with urgent queries. Applicants with existing appointments during this period are advised to monitor official embassy channels for rescheduling instructions.
