The Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai have suspended all consular, passport, and attestation appointments for a five-day period starting Wednesday, May 22. The temporary halt affects processing centers across the UAE as the diplomatic missions undergo a major technical transition. System Migration and Dates The suspension is scheduled to last through Sunday, May 26, with regular operations and appointment booking expected to resume on Monday, May 27. The interruption is required to facilitate the migration of existing consular data to the Global Passport Seva Project (PSP) system, a centralized digital platform designed to streamline passport issuance for Indian nationals abroad. During this window, BLS International centers—the outsourced service provider for Indian visa and passport applications—will not accept routine appointments. This affects all branches, including those in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah.
