India warns air passengers against fraudulent Air Suvidha phishing websites

The Government of India issued an official warning on Saturday, 25 July, alerting international air passengers to fraudulent websites mimicking the newly launched Air Suvidha 2.0 portal. Authorities confirmed that multiple unauthorized platforms are attempting to collect sensitive personal and travel-related data from unsuspecting travelers under the guise of official government services. The warning follows the recent rollout of Air Suvidha 2.0, an updated digital platform designed to streamline health and travel declarations for passengers entering the country. Officials stated that scammers are using URLs that closely resemble the official domain to trick users into providing passport details, flight information, and payment for services that are provided free of charge by the Ministry of Civil Aviation. Verification of official digital channels The Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare urged all travelers to use only the verified government domain for their filings. According to the official advisory, several third-party sites are illegally charging processing fees, despite the Air Suvidha portal being a free service for all international arrivals.
