India’s Global Capability Centers (GCCs) are transitioning from cost-saving back offices into high-value knowledge enterprises, now employing over 1.66 million professionals across approximately 1,580 centers nationwide. This shift moves the sector away from basic operational support toward complex functions including product development, intellectual property creation, and global leadership roles. Revenue and Market Expansion The Indian GCC market currently generates approximately $46 billion in annual revenue. Industry forecasts from Nasscom and Zinnov project this figure to reach $110 billion by 2030. This growth is driven by the increasing complexity of work handled in India, with over 45% of new GCCs established in the last two years focusing on advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and cybersecurity.
