The defending champions will face Sharjah Warriorz on November 22 as the full 30-day ILT20 schedule is confirmed.
The Gulf Giants will open their International League T20 (ILT20) Season 5 title defence against the Sharjah Warriorz on Sunday, 22 November, following the official release of the tournament schedule. The opening fixture is scheduled for a 2:00pm start at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Squad Investments and Key Signings The franchise has significantly restructured its roster for the upcoming campaign, led by high-value auction acquisitions. Liam Livingstone joined the squad for $350,000 (Dh1.28 million), while Rahmanullah Gurbaz was secured for $310,000 (Dh1.13 million). Other notable auction additions include Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, David Wiese, Ibrahim Zadran, Tabraiz Shamsi, and Curtis Campher. These players join a core group of pre-auction signings, including Azmatullah Omarzai, Blessing Muzarabani, David Miller, and Heinrich Klaasen. The team will play 10 matches during the 30-game group stage, facing each of the five opposing franchises twice to determine playoff qualification. Venue Allocation and Playoff Path The Giants’ schedule is concentrated in Dubai, where they will play six of their 10 league matches. The remaining fixtures are split equally with two games in Sharjah and two in Abu Dhabi. Key league dates include a clash with MI Emirates on 24 November and a match against the Dubai Capitals on 28 November, both at the Dubai International Stadium.
