Gila Community College (GCC) has secured full independent accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), ending a decades-long partnership where it operated under the authority of Eastern Arizona College (EAC). The decision by the HLC Board of Trustees allows the institution to function as a standalone entity with the power to grant its own degrees and certificates.
