The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) took a decisive step forward in securing regional energy infrastructure and enhancing cross-border economic integration during an extraordinary meeting of the GCC Petroleum Cooperation Committee. Held via videoconference, the high-level ministerial session brought together the energy ministers of the GCC member states alongside the GCC Secretary-General, His Excellency Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi. The meeting focused heavily on implementing the strategic directives issued by the GCC leaders during the landmark 19th Consultative Meeting held in Jeddah, establishing a unified roadmap to protect and enhance regional energy supply chains. Chaired by His Excellency Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, Bahrain’s Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, the committee reviewed a comprehensive suite of joint initiatives.
