Fujairah has officially secured a Guinness World Record for the world’s longest musical street, a 1,154-metre installation located in the Murbah area. The project, developed by the Fujairah Municipality, uses engineered transverse grooves in the road surface to generate audible musical notes when vehicles drive over them at a consistent speed. Technical Specifications and Performance The musical road is designed to play the UAE national anthem, "Ishy Bilady," in its entirety. To hear the melody clearly, motorists must maintain a steady speed of 80 kilometres per hour. This speed requirement is synchronised with the spacing of the rumble strips, which vibrate the vehicle’s tyres to create specific frequencies that mimic musical notes. Officials confirmed that the installation spans over a kilometre, surpassing previous records for similar musical roads globally.
