Luxury sports car maker Ferrari has unveiled its first fully electric car - the $640,000 Luce, co-designed with Apple's former design chief Jony Ive. The electric vehicle represents Ferrari's most controversial design decision, breaking traditional Ferrari rules with its glass-heavy body, over 1,000 horsepower, quad motors, rear-hinged doors, and five-seat layout instead of the brand's signature two-seater sports car configuration. The Luce's pricing starts at €550,000 ($640,000) in Europe, with production set to begin in late 2026. The car will launch in the U.S. in the second quarter of 2027, marking Ferrari's entry into electric vehicle market that has increasingly dominated luxury automotive innovation.
