Etihad Rail has finalized the interior cabin designs for its upcoming passenger rail service, marking a shift in the UAE’s national transport infrastructure. The diesel-powered trains, designed to travel at speeds of up to 200km/h, will eventually connect 11 cities and regions across the seven emirates, spanning from Al Sila near the Saudi border to Fujairah on the eastern coast. Cabin specifications and passenger classes The passenger trains will offer a dual-class configuration, featuring First Class and Standard Class. First Class cabins utilize a 2+1 seating arrangement, providing wider seats and increased legroom, while Standard Class employs a 2+2 layout. Each train will accommodate more than 400 passengers at full capacity. Technical specifications confirm that all carriages will include high-speed Wi-Fi, multiple charging stations for electronic devices, and integrated infotainment systems. Onboard amenities include climate control, specialized catering services, and accessibility features designed for passengers with limited mobility.
