The Abu Dhabi carrier will increase London Heathrow services to 42 weekly flights starting December 15 to meet winter demand.

Etihad Airways will increase its service frequency between Abu Dhabi and London Heathrow to six daily flights starting December 15, 2024. The expansion raises the carrier’s total weekly operations to 42 flights on the route, up from the previous five-daily schedule. The additional flights are timed to address the year-end travel peak and rising demand for connections between the UK and the UAE. The Abu Dhabi-based airline confirmed it will utilize a mix of Airbus A380 and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft to service the increased schedule. Strategic Capacity Increase The decision to deploy 42 weekly flights follows a sustained period of high load factors on the London route. By adding a sixth daily rotation, Etihad aims to provide greater flexibility for business travelers and passengers connecting through Zayed International Airport (AUH) to destinations across Asia and Australia.
