Etihad Airways has expanded its city check-in operations across Abu Dhabi to mitigate potential airport congestion during the peak summer travel period. The initiative allows passengers to complete check-in formalities and drop off luggage at designated locations between 24 and four hours before their scheduled departure. Strategic Check-in Locations The services, operated in partnership with Morafiq Aviation Services, are stationed at major hubs including Yas Mall and Al Wahda Mall. By shifting the baggage handling process away from Zayed International Airport, the airline aims to reduce queue wait times and streamline the boarding process for thousands of daily travelers. The city check-in facilities are open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Passengers using the service are required to pay a fee of AED 35 per adult, while children travel free. As an incentive to utilize the remote hubs, Etihad Guest members receive 2,500 bonus miles for checking in at these city locations.
