Emirates expects more than 3,500 unaccompanied minors to travel across its global network during the current summer season. The Dubai-based carrier confirmed it is deploying specialized ground teams and facilities at Dubai International (DXB) to manage the logistical requirements for children flying without parents or guardians. Operational Logistics at Terminal 3 The airline manages solo travelers aged five to 11 through a dedicated transit process. These passengers are received at a specialized lounge in Terminal 3, which operates 24 hours a day. The facility includes video games, refreshments, and seating areas tailored for younger travelers awaiting departures or connecting flights. Ground staff escort children through security and immigration formalities directly to the boarding gate. On board the aircraft, cabin crew prioritize the supervision of unaccompanied minors, ensuring they are seated and served meals ahead of the general cabin service. Upon arrival at the destination, staff meet the aircraft to escort the child through the airport until they are handed over to a verified guardian.
