Emirates Doubles Airbus A350 Flights to Maldives Starting January 2025

The Dubai-based carrier will operate two daily flights using its newest aircraft type to Male starting January 1.
Emirates will increase its Airbus A350-900 operations to the Maldives, adding a second daily service to Male starting January 1, 2025. The expansion integrates the carrier’s newest aircraft type into one of its highest-demand regional leisure routes as it continues its fleet-wide rollout. Increased Capacity and Seat Configuration The additional A350 service will operate as flights EK654 and EK655. The aircraft is configured with 312 seats across three cabins: 32 Next-Gen Business Class lie-flat seats, 21 Premium Economy seats, and 259 Economy Class seats. This deployment doubles the A350’s presence on the Dubai-Male route, providing more capacity for the peak winter travel season. Male is among the first group of destinations designated for the Emirates A350 fleet. Other cities scheduled for service with the new aircraft include Edinburgh, Bahrain, Kuwait, Muscat, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Colombo, and Lyon. The airline has 65 A350-900 units on order to support its medium-to-long-haul network expansion.
