The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and Dubai Industrial City have confirmed their participation in the 2026 edition of the 'Make it in the Emirates' Forum. This initiative centralizes Dubai’s advanced manufacturing capabilities within the UAE’s broader national industrial strategy, focusing on high-tech production and local supply chain security. Industrial Strategy Integration The upcoming forum serves as the primary platform for Dubai to present its manufacturing ecosystem, which currently contributes significantly to the city's non-oil GDP. Officials stated that the 2026 participation will focus on attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) into specialized sectors, including aerospace parts, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and food technology. These efforts link directly to the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double the size of the emirate's economy by 2033.
