Dubai Summit to Feature GCC Policy Insights on Regional Media Integration

The Organising Committee of the Arab Media Summit 2026 announced on Saturday, 29 August, that Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), will deliver the keynote address at the upcoming event in Dubai. The 24th edition of the summit is scheduled to take place from 15 to 17 September 2026. The event operates under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council. High-Level Diplomatic Engagement Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, stated that Albudaiwi’s participation brings a broad diplomatic perspective to the summit’s discussions. She noted that his insights will focus on the GCC’s model of regional coordination and the media's role in supporting joint Arab action amid shifting geopolitical dynamics.
