DUBAI — In a landmark legislative advancement designed to preserve the aesthetic, structural, and social standards of residential communities across the emirate, Dubai’s comprehensive new law regulating shared housing has officially taken effect. Enacted under Law No. 4 of 2026, issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the statute establishes a clear, transparent framework governing how shared accommodation is leased, managed, and occupied across all private development zones, master communities, and free zones.
