DUBAI — In a strategic effort to streamline vehicular movement and guarantee the highest safety standards for students, parents, and academic staff, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has successfully completed a comprehensive package of traffic and infrastructural enhancements across six vital school-zone locations throughout the emirate. Timed to conclude ahead of the return of hundreds of thousands of students for the new academic calendar, the civil improvements directly benefit more than ten major educational institutions, optimizing daily access and easing peak-hour congestion across surrounding residential neighborhoods. The targeted projects reflect the RTA’s proactive engineering methodology, which strategically utilized the quieter summer break window to carry out extensive roadworks. By executing construction when road volumes were at seasonal lows, the authority minimized logistical disruptions to daily commuters, accelerated project delivery timelines, and implemented world-class traffic calming and pedestrian protection measures without compromising urban flow.
