The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) recorded 628 million digital transactions in 2023, signaling a major shift in how residents manage vehicle registrations, permits, and fines. The total reflects data across the RTA’s diverse digital portfolio, including its website, mobile apps, and smart kiosks. Driver and Vehicle Services Lead Volume Digital adoption focused heavily on driver licensing, vehicle registration renewals, and parking services. According to the RTA, the shift to online platforms reduced the need for physical visits to service centers, with digital channels now handling the majority of routine administrative tasks. Infrastructure and Integration The RTA currently offers more than 300 automated services. The authority’s integration with the 'Dubai Now' app and the 'Mahboub' chatbot has standardized the user experience, allowing for immediate processing of Salik top-ups and public transport card (Nol) balance checks.
