DUBAI - In a strategic civil engineering milestone designed to enhance road network connectivity, eliminate central business district bottlenecks, and streamline traffic movement across Dubai’s primary commercial hub, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has officially opened a newly completed, 500-metre bridge near the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The infrastructure project delivers an immediate and dramatic reduction in travel times for thousands of daily motorists, slashing average transit times through the bustling district from approximately ten minutes down to just two minutes. The newly operational two-lane overpass forms a central component of the RTA’s multi-phase Al Mustaqbal Street Development Project. Specifically engineered to handle dense commercial exit volumes, the bridge provides a direct, elevated flyover route for vehicles departing the Dubai World Trade Centre complex, exhibition convention halls, and the adjacent One Central business and hospitality development. By routing traffic cleanly toward Al Mustaqbal Street and onward to Za'abeel Palace Street, the structure bypasses previously congested ground-level intersections and roundabout junctions.
