Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) generated Dh5.3 billion in revenue through its digital platforms and artificial intelligence (AI) applications in 2023. The figures indicate a high adoption rate of smart services among residents and visitors, shifting the bulk of the authority’s financial transactions away from traditional physical centers. Surge in Digital Transaction Volume The revenue was driven by a suite of over 250 services available via the RTA’s website, the 'Dubai Drive' app, and smart kiosks located across the emirate. Key revenue streams included smart parking payments, 'nol' card top-ups, and vehicle registration renewals. The RTA reported that digital channels now handle the majority of user interactions, significantly reducing operational overheads and wait times at customer happiness centers.
