Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed the deployment of air-conditioned rest areas for delivery bike riders across the emirate. The initiative aims to provide relief from rising temperatures as the summer season approaches, focusing on high-traffic districts frequently used by delivery services. Infrastructure Expansion and Strategic Locations The project includes 40 dedicated rest stations, categorized into permanent buildings and mobile units. These facilities are strategically positioned in areas with high delivery demand, including Arabian Ranches, Al Quoz, Umm Ramool, Al Barsha, Khor Dubai, and Jumeirah . Each station is equipped with basic amenities such as seating, air conditioning, water dispensers, and mobile phone charging points. The RTA designed these stations to accommodate the growing number of delivery riders, who constitute a significant portion of Dubai’s daily road users.
