Legal Penalties Under Wadeema Law Authorities emphasized that Federal Law No. 3 of 2016, or the Wadeema Law, stipulates clear penalties for negligence. Parents found guilty of leaving children unattended in high-risk environments can face significant fines starting from AED 5,000 and potential imprisonment. The law defines negligence as the failure of a parent or guardian to take the necessary precautions to protect a child from harm, whether at home, in public spaces, or inside vehicles.
