Dubai Police achieved a 99.7% security coverage rate across the emirate’s jurisdictional areas during the third quarter of 2024. The operations covered a total land area of 1,272 square kilometres, serving a population of approximately 244,000 residents and visitors across varied sectors. Response Times and Operational Efficiency Statistical data released by the General Department of Operations shows that emergency response times for the July–September period averaged 2 minutes and 32 seconds. This figure remains well within the force’s target threshold of 6 to 9 minutes for extreme emergencies. Non-emergency calls saw an average response time of 11 minutes and 5 seconds, beating the established 15-minute target. The 901 call centre, dedicated to non-emergency inquiries, handled 212,504 calls during the third quarter. Of these, 92.5% were answered within 20 seconds. This metrics-driven approach is part of a broader strategy to maintain public safety through rapid deployment and high-frequency patrols in industrial, residential, and commercial zones.
