Dubai Police Arrest Eight Suspects Following Dh1.7 Million Armed Robbery

Dubai Police have arrested a gang of eight men who allegedly robbed a salesman of Dh1.7 million after posing as undercover police officers in the Al Musalla area. The suspects intercepted the victim while he was transporting the cash, which belonged to a general trading company where he worked. Execution of the Heist The victim was walking with a bag containing Dh1.7 million when two men stopped him, claiming to be police officers. They demanded to see his identification and questioned the source of the funds. While the victim was distracted, a larger group appeared, forced him into a vehicle, and drove to a remote location. The suspects then seized the cash bag and fled the scene, leaving the salesman unharmed but without the funds. Investigation and Arrests A specialized task force from the General Department of Criminal Investigation (CID) tracked the suspects using surveillance footage and forensic data. Within 48 hours, officers raided several locations across the UAE, recovering the majority of the stolen cash.
