Dubai International Airport (DXB) is preparing for a surge in travel activity as the summer peak begins, with an estimated 3.3 million passengers expected to pass through the terminal doors between July 6 and July 17. The influx coincides with the end of the academic year and the start of the annual summer holiday period in the UAE. Peak Travel Windows Data from Dubai Airports indicates that the highest volume of traffic will occur over two consecutive weekends. July 12 to July 14 is projected to be the busiest period, handling approximately 840,000 passengers. July 13 alone is forecast to be the single busiest day, with the airport managing over 286,000 travelers. The daily average traffic for the 11-day period is expected to remain around 275,000 passengers. This follows a record-breaking first quarter for DXB, where the hub served 23 million passengers, representing an 8.4% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
