Dubai Holding awards Dh5bn contract to CSCEC for new headquarters and towers

Dubai Holding has awarded a Dh5 billion construction contract to China State Construction Engineering Corporation Middle East (CSCEC ME) to develop its new global headquarters and the Jumeirah Residences Emirates Towers. The agreement, signed on Wednesday, 9 September, represents the largest building contract in the group’s history. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Holding, alongside Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, and Ou Boqian, Consul General of China in Dubai. The investment is part of a broader strategy to consolidate the group’s operations and expand its residential portfolio in Dubai’s central business district. New Headquarters to Open by 2029 The new Dubai Holding headquarters is scheduled for completion in 2029. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), the structure will feature a circular architectural form focused on an open-air atrium and landscaped courtyard. The facility is intended to house all of the group’s business entities under one roof, replacing several distributed offices. According to Dubai Holding, the building will prioritize resource efficiency and sustainability, aiming to meet international low-carbon standards.
