Dubai Health staff join the 'My Blood, for My Country' initiative to replenish the emirate's blood bank for emergency and surgical use.

Dubai Health announced the active participation of its medical and administrative personnel in the ‘My Blood, for My Country’ blood donation campaign. The initiative aims to bolster the emirate’s blood reserves to ensure a steady supply for emergency cases and specialized medical treatments. The campaign, originally launched in 2012 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, continues to serve as a primary source for the Dubai Blood Donation Centre (DBDC). The current drive involves mobile donation units and organized sessions across Dubai Health’s integrated academic health system. Support for Critical Medical Cases Data from Dubai Health indicates that the blood collected through this initiative is essential for various high-priority medical needs. This includes support for patients at the Thalassemia Centre, victims of road traffic accidents, and individuals undergoing complex surgeries such as organ transplants and cardiovascular procedures.
