Dubai Harbour Bridge Hits 75% Completion to Slash Travel Times by Nine Minutes

The 1.5-kilometre bridge will link Sheikh Zayed Road directly to Dubai Harbour, increasing traffic capacity to 6,000 vehicles per hour.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that construction of the Dubai Harbour bridge has reached 75% completion. The infrastructure project, developed in partnership with Shamal Holding, will reduce travel time between Sheikh Zayed Road and Dubai Harbour from 12 minutes to three minutes. Technical Specifications and Traffic Capacity The bridge extends 1,500 metres and features two lanes in each direction. Once operational, the link will provide a direct entry and exit point for Dubai Harbour, capable of handling 6,000 vehicles per hour. The project starts at the intersection of Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Falak Street and terminates at Dubai Harbour. The construction includes a bridge deck, columns, and a footbridge connecting the residential area to the waterfront. The project also involves surface road improvements at intersections along the route, including the Al Falak Street and Abdullah Omran Taryam Street junctions.
