Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) has partnered with Open Innovation AI (OI-AI) to develop and deploy secure "agentic workforces" for enterprises and government entities in the UAE. The collaboration focuses on providing autonomous AI agents capable of performing complex tasks while maintaining strict data sovereignty within du’s local infrastructure. Sovereign AI Infrastructure The partnership integrates Open Innovation AI’s orchestration platform with du’s UAE-based data centers and GPU resources. This setup allows organizations to deploy AI agents—software entities designed to complete end-to-end business processes—without sending sensitive data outside national borders. The system utilizes localized Large Language Models (LLMs) and specialized AI frameworks tailored for the regional regulatory environment. Under the agreement, du provides the underlying compute power and connectivity, while OI-AI provides the software layer required to manage, monitor, and scale these AI agents.
