Dr Thani Al Zeyoudi Inspects Thumbay Medicity to Assess Healthcare Exports

The Minister of State for Foreign Trade reviewed Ajman’s private medical infrastructure and its role in the national economic diversification strategy.
Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, visited Thumbay Medicity in Ajman to evaluate the facility's contribution to the national healthcare sector and its role in expanding the UAE's service exports. The visit focused on the intersection of private medical education and clinical services as drivers for economic growth. Review of Private Healthcare Infrastructure Dr Thumbay Moideen, Founder President of Thumbay Group, received the Minister and led a tour of the 100,000-square-meter hub. The inspection included the Gulf Medical University (GMU) and Thumbay University Hospital, a 350-bed facility which currently stands as the largest private academic hospital in the Middle East. Dr Al Zeyoudi was briefed on the specialized laboratories and the integration of artificial intelligence in diagnostic procedures. The delegation reviewed the university’s research capabilities, which currently support students from over 90 nationalities.
