In a technical milestone that promises to reshape mobile connectivity standards, Japanese telecommunications giant NTT DOCOMO and South Korean electronics leader Samsung Electronics have announced the successful validation of user-customized communication quality optimization technology powered by artificial intelligence. The joint achievement utilizes AI-driven Radio Access Network (AI-RAN) architecture to analyze individual user behavior and real-time wireless conditions, dynamically adjusting network parameters before mobile users experience service degradation or buffering. Traditionally, cellular base stations operate on a macro-level allocation model. In conventional 4G and 5G network configurations, a base station applies uniform transmission parameters across all connected devices within a given sector, irrespective of whether an individual device is streaming ultra-high-definition video, reading a text document, or navigating via GPS.
