Companies and branches registered within the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) are navigating updated regulatory obligations following the implementation of UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 32 of 2021 on Commercial Companies. The law, which governs corporate structures across the Emirates, creates a specific legal framework for how free zone entities interact with mainland regulations and federal oversight. Scope of Federal Oversight Under the current legal framework, companies established in free zones like DMCC are primarily governed by their own specific regulations, such as the DMCC Company Regulations 2020.
