DCT Abu Dhabi launches a 12 to 18-month leadership scheme to integrate Emirati talent and AI into the emirate's tourism sector.
The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) launched the NAWAH Future Leaders Programme on Wednesday, 12 August, targeting the professional development of Emirati talent within the emirate’s tourism and cultural sectors. The initiative, announced by Saood Abdulaziz Al Hosani, Undersecretary of DCT Abu Dhabi, coincides with International Youth Day. The programme is designed to prepare a new cohort of Emirati employees to manage the emirate's growing portfolio of museums, festivals, and cultural institutions as Abu Dhabi expands its global tourism footprint. Leadership training and AI integration The NAWAH programme will run for a duration of 12 to 18 months. Participants are scheduled to undergo a curriculum that includes tailored leadership development, one-on-one coaching with industry executives, and immersive work placements across various government and cultural entities. A specific component of the training will focus on the application of transformative technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), within the tourism ecosystem.
