CBUAE joins G20 finance meetings in US to discuss monetary policy

A delegation led by Assistant Governor Ebrahim Obaid Al Zaabi is attending G20 finance summits in North Carolina to discuss monetary policy and fraud prevention.
The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) is currently representing the Emirates at two high-level G20 finance meetings in Asheville, North Carolina, focusing on global economic stability and monetary policy. The delegation is participating in the Fourth G20 Finance and Central Bank Deputies Meeting and the Second G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting, which run from Saturday, 29 August to Tuesday, 1 September 2026. Global Economic Agenda The meetings, held under the 2026 United States G20 Presidency, bring together global financial leaders to address volatile economic developments. Key agenda items include the coordination of international monetary policies, strategies for sustainable economic growth, and the expansion of financial literacy programs across member nations. Ebrahim Obaid Al Zaabi, Assistant Governor for Monetary Policy and Financial Stability at the CBUAE, is leading the UAE delegation.
