The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) has granted a Retail Payment Services license to Adyen, the global financial technology platform, enabling the firm to launch domestic acquiring and direct payment processing services. The move allows the Amsterdam-headquartered firm to bypass third-party intermediaries and connect directly to UAE payment networks. Domestic Acquiring and Settlement By securing the CBUAE license, Adyen can now process transactions locally for its merchant clients.
