Burjeel Holdings launches BEACON network to integrate Abu Dhabi emergency care

Burjeel Holdings launched a specialized clinical framework on Tuesday, 11 August, designed to integrate emergency and acute care services across its hospital network in Abu Dhabi. Known as the Burjeel Emergency and Acute Care Operational Network (BEACON), the system links emergency departments, critical care units, and interfacility transfer protocols into a single clinical model. Integrated Clinical Pathways The network was activated simultaneously at Burjeel Hospital Abu Dhabi and Burjeel Medical City. According to Burjeel Holdings, BEACON standardizes clinical pathways for time-sensitive conditions such as cardiac emergencies, stroke, sepsis, trauma, and acute oncology. The framework allows emergency physicians to involve subspecialists in cardiology, neurology, and pediatrics at an early stage, regardless of where the patient first enters the system.
